Usem Blog- Done

Although it has been fun learning about the history of tattoos, I have to say that I have never been more excited to finish a project!!! It has taken so much time and I am very happy with the results of our group video. The video has been an interesting learning process and took way more time than I think any of us estimated! Glad to finally be COMPLETELY DONE !

Final interview

Had the final interview with the tattoo artist with the group on Tuesday. Finally got sufficient video footage needed for the video! Mori had a hard time talking infront of the camera but eventually gave us what we needed. We are all very appreciative of those that took time out of their schedules to be interviewed by our group! Now in the process of splicing video and rearranging photos to make a cohesive video!

USEM update

Had a re-interview with a tattoo artist today from Ashland. Mori from Mori Ink tattoos gave me great information and insight about the journey of getting a tattoo for individuals. She is a shop owner who does her work out of her house. My favorite part of the project so far has been talking with people and hearing their experinces and their opinions on our topic.

Had a group meeting on the 18th of February and decided which movie program we are going to use. iMovie 2008 will be the video program we have chosen to use for our project. Although we don't necessarily know how to use the whole program we have found online tutorials that will guide us through or video making process.

As of Friday February 12th our group completed a story board laying out the plans for our Tattoo History movie. We have decided on a title for our film "Documented Ink." Having the storyboard will make the process of cutting and pasting our film together much easier!

Group update

We finally completed a pre-interview with a tattoo artist and we are going back in on Sunday February 7th to finish up with a video interview. Our group is also meeting on Friday the 5th at 1pm to collaborate on research we each have done for the periods in history of tattooing.
